First light storm of 2011 (April 22nd, 2011 - Mariakerke)

For the first time this year a thunderstorm appeared. It started off as a small cumulus becoming a tiny CB ahead of bigger and more intense showers to the east.

The line of storms barely moved, but created new pulse storms systematically to the west. This storm basically developed overhead.

Strong winds from evaporating precipitation, causing local downbursts. One person was killed and 4 injured as a hot air balloon got caught by a storm.

A short video with the best lightning. Audio was recorded separately with my new Sony PCM-M10 handheld recorder. I still need to learn how to use it. It was set manually, but too high, clipping some of the loudest parts of thunder and having too much background noise.
